Kristall is a beautiful and unique 35mm Soviet SLR camera, produced at the Krasnogorsk Mechanical Factory (KMZ) from 1961 to 1962. It is based on the Zenit-3 body, but updated with a striking angular prism housing made of bakelite - which gives it a futuristic, crystal-like look (hence the name "Kristall"). Built on the Leica-thread legacy (M39 mount), it uses manual film advance, focal-plane shutter, and delivers that classic all-mechanical shooting experience. This model is rare, short-lived, and highly valued among collectors of early Soviet SLRs.
